欢迎来到yzc888亚洲城网页版. We are so excited to have you join the Wildcat Community. We are going to help you pick your classes through our online registration. The online registration feature is only available for current Seattle Public School (SPS) students. 所有其他非yzc888亚洲城官网学生(i.e. 私立学校和州外学校). You must complete your registration by May 2022 or your courses will be selected for you.

3. How do credits from certain classes this year (like high school math and world language) get counted?
Those credits and grades are automatically added to your HS transcript if you’re coming from an SPS middle school

是的. The only exception to this is if you are planning on enrolling in BOTH band/orchestra and a world language as you will not have room in your schedule

6. For student who took 2+ years of a world language in middle school- do we start at Level 2 in high school?
这取决于你. Typically students who have taken 2 years of world language in MS are prepared to start at Level 2 in high school, but you also have the opportunity to start again at Level 1. We encourage talking to your current world language teacher to get their feedback regarding your readiness to start at Level 2.

No, at this time our classes offer embedded Honors and you opt in to the Honors option through your teacher at the beginning of the school year. You don’t need to register separately for Honors classes or get a teacher’s recommendation

You must complete your registration by May 2022 or your courses will be randomly selected for you.

You must complete your online registration (or submit the paper registration) by May 7th, 2021 or your courses will be randomly selected for you.

Your School Counselors will be hosting classroom presentations during the first week of February to help you start the process. T在这里 will be drop-in office hours available if you have any registration or graduation questions.

WSHS在校生时间表

2022年2月

  • 在社会研究课程中, students will review their academic histories to determine courses they still need to take for graduation and for admission to four year colleges. They will learn how to access their historical grades in the Source to check their progress toward graduation
  • Students will receive a copy of their Four Year Plan and will complete them during asynchronous time
  • Students will be shown w在这里 to access the 2022 - 2023课程目录 online
  • Students will receive an Option Sheet for their grade level, 包含所有可供他们学习的课程. 因为今年将全面在线注册, a parent signature will not be required on the Option Sheet- this is to be used as a tool by student/parent to make decisions

  • 在2月份, students will view a video in advisory that walks them through how to register for classes on 源

  • The online registration window will open and remain available 24/7, for two weeks. Students/parents can go in and make their course selections through 源

Are the Option Sheet and Four-Year Plan documents required to submit before registration?
No, they are tools to help you figure out your remaining graduation requirements and help you select your classes for next year

What happens if I don’t pick my classes before the due date?
Your counselor gets to choose all of your classes for you!

Sometimes classes fill up or they just don’t work in your schedule.  Your alternate choices let the counselors know what your 2nd, 3rd 和图4th choices are so that you get classes that you want and don’t have to wait in LONG lines outside the counselor’s office at the start of the year.

Choose an elective for the time being and make a note on your option sheet indicating that you would like to TA for next year. It will be your responsibility to get the TA form signed at the beginning of the year. 只有 大三和大四的学生可以做助教.

What if I know I’m transferring or taking classes at Running Start?

Special Education students should complete the online registration if they are SPS students. Non-SPS学生s with Special Education services will complete the paper registration Option Sheet and email the completed form to their assigned WSHS counselor.

English Language Learning (ELL) students should complete the online registration if they are SPS students. Non-SPS学生s with ELL services will complete the paper registration Option Sheet and email the completed form to their assigned WSHS counselor.

Honors classes: yzc888亚洲城网页版 offers 9th and 10th grade honors options in some of our core academic areas. As we come into alignment with the other SPS high schools, how we offer honors in grade 9 and 10 is changing in some content areas. The option for honors will be available and embedded in most Language Arts, 世界历史, 和数学课程. 欲了解更多信息，请访问我们的  常见问题页面.

Math placements are determined by 8th grade courses: If your student is taking 8th Grade Math, they will register for Algebra 1; Algebra 1 students should register for Geometry; Geometry students should register for Algebra 2.

Health and Personal Fitness: All 9th grade students take Health and Personal Fitness. 然而, if a student takes Band/Orchestraand a World Language, 他们可以在高中以后参加健康和体育.

World Language: If you are choosing the first year of any world language, please list an alternate language on the alternate elective line.

IMPORTANT POLICY ON Yearlong Scheduling: yzc888亚洲城网页版 students register for the following year’s classes in the spring. 两个学期的课程都在这个时候选择. Students will remain with the same teacher for the full year in yearlong courses. Students should choose courses carefully as schedule changes are extremely limited.
